On Dec. 20, 2012 I was asked to join a group of Scouters in Southbury, CT. During this meeting I received the Peace Light for the first time and I was asked to bring the Peace Light to Sandy Hook, CT. You see I am also a Conn. State Trooper and I was a first responder to the Sandy Hook School Shooting tragedy. The Peace Light was taken to the front entrance of the school and after a few minute of prayer I took the Peace Light to the Methodist Church, Church Hill Rd, Sandy Hook, CT where it remained for about a week. I picker up the Peace Light and shared it at the Congregational Church in Torrington, CT and at the Christ Church Episcopal in Sharon, CT before placing it on the front porch of my home where it remain until late January In December of 2013 I repeated the process receiving the Peace Light in Southbury, CT and taking it to the Sandy Hook School. This year I plan to go to JFK on December 11th to receive the light directly and I will have it at Sandy Hook School on December 14, 2014 the two year anniversary of the event. I have been also appointed a State Trooper Family Liaison for the families of the Sandy Hook tragedy a position I still hold today. In addition to my professional job I volunteer to the Boy Scout of America as the Council Commissioner at the Connecticut River Council. Our Council office is located in East Hartford, CT. As the Council Commissioner I am one of the key three that run the council.
If you would like to receive the Peace Light please contact Lonny at (C) 860-309-5689 (H) 860-618-0058
